Doctors weigh in on amendments.  Voters will soon head to the polls to decide several constitutional amendments that could have a serious impact on health care.  One OB/GYN practice is very concerned that three of the amendments (numbers 3, 7, and 8) will adversely impact their patients.  Find out what some doctors are doing in hopes of explaining the issues at stake.  

Florida Hospital Altamonte and Apopka employees are helping to build a community in Mexico in just five days.   This Saturday, October 23, more than 50 doctors, nurses, EMS employees, support staff and construction volunteers from Florida Hospital Altamonte and Apopka are headed to Puebla and Veracruz Mexico as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Jimmy Carter Work Project 2004.  Video and pictures available upon request.

Florida Children’s Hospital employees and patients are jumping into their jammies to help  clothe Russian orphans.  Every day thousands of orphaned and abandoned children in Russia struggle to get life’s basic necessities.   In fact, one of their greatest needs is for underwear and warm pajamas.  On Wednesday, October 27, popular Christian recording artist Miss Patty Cake will stop by the Florida Children’s Hospital as part of Florida Hospital’s drive to collect clothing for the orphans.
