WHAT: It’s not your typical reality show.  The stars of this drama are real Central Florida moms who are experiencing one of the most intimate moments of their lives – the births of their babies.  And it will all be broadcast LIVE by Discovery Health Channel on the fourth annual BIRTH DAY LIVE! television special.  Four semi-trucks, nearly 25,000 feet of cable, 100 crew members , 21 cameras, more than 65 microphones, a staff of nurses and doctors, and several wonderful moms-to-be will come together at Florida Hospital’s “the baby place” for six hours of live births during this special event.  As part of this year’s BIRTH DAY LIVE!, viewers will have the opportunity to name several of the babies born during the 6-hour event.  During the broadcast, viewers can go to www.discoveryhealth.com to cast their votes! 

WHO: Florida Hospital Orlando’s “the baby place” will be the host hospital for the show, which can be seen by more than 59 million households.  Delivering more than 8,000 babies a year, this is the third time “the baby place” at Florida Hospital has hosted BIRTH DAY LIVE!  Discovery Health Channel is on Brighthouse Network channel 52.
