Celebration Health Doc First To Conduct New Hip Injection Study

Simple Injection Takes Away The Pain

You’ve heard of flu shots, and allergy shots, but what about a hip joint shot? Dr. David Dore, medical director of the Joint Replacement Center, at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, is the first physician in the U.S. to conduct a double blind study where patients’ hip joints are injected with a solution derived from Rooster’s comb. The enzyme, Hyaluronic Acid is injected into the synovium sac of the hip joint.  This 3 part injection series enhances the patients own synovial fluid, which creates better cushion and easier range of motion for the hip joint.

This treatment has been FDA approved for the knee for over 5 years.  Patients report knee pain relief lasting 3-9 months.  Treatment can be repeated without harmful effects.
