Florida Hospital Donates School Supplies for Central Florida’s Students Monday July 30, 2007
Florida Hospital Nurses, Doctors, Employees Fill Backpacks for Needy Children for the Annual Backpacks for Kids Campaign
WHAT: It’s almost back to school time again and that means Central Florida kids are getting ready for the school year ahead. They’ll need pencils, folders, notebooks, and even backpacks. But, some families can not afford all the school supplies their children will need to start the school year. That’s why Florida Hospital employees are buying backpacks, stuffing them with the tools they’ll need for school, and donating them to kids in Central Florida who need them. The school supplies being collected will be donated to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.
VISUALS: Come see the stacks of backpacks as Florida Hospital employees turn in the supplies collected by their departments. Last year, 2,150 backpacks were collected to help children throughout the community.
