Nurses are the unsung heroes that spend their days caring for the sick. They have the ability to save lives, and the compassion to provide comfort to those who need it most. Whether it's preparing a patient for surgery, administering medication, educating a family on how to care for their loved one, or simply holding a hand and listening to a patient's fears, nurses spend their days devoting their time and skill to the needs of others.
On Wednesday, June 21 Florida Hospital celebrated our outstanding nurses for the exemplary care they deliver, at the annual Florida Hospital Nursing Awards Luncheon at the Buena Vista Palace in Lake Buena Vista.
“It is an honor to be able to stand along side of and recognize the contributions that our Florida Hospital nurses make routinely to the community we serve. Today, we celebrate the profession of nursing and we especially honor those who go above and beyond the call of duty every day to every patient they serve and who make a difference in people's lives,” said Karen Marcarelli, Florida Hospital Vice President of Nursing.
