WHAT: Enrollment at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (FHCHS) is growing each year, creating an extreme need for more classroom and laboratory space. That is why the College has built a new three-floor, 64,500-square-foot Campus Center that will house 10 new classrooms, five labs for biology and allied health programs, administrative offices, service departments, a campus bookstore, student services, a student lounge, financial services, and a student success center. Find out more about how FHCHS is growing to meet the needs of the community at the grand opening ceremony on April 19.
BACKGROUND: Education at Florida Hospital has a rich history with the original Florida Hospital School of Nursing opening in 1913. The present College as it stands today opened in 1992 with 243 students. Today, the student body is made up of more than 2,000 students. FHCHS offers programs in nursing, health sciences, nuclear medicine, technology, occupational therapy assistant, radiography, sonography, and pre-professional studies.
