Brian Paradis is being appointed Chief Operating Officer of Florida Hospital, which includes the seven Florida Hospital campuses in Central Florida.  Paradis has served as Chief Financial Officer for Florida Hospital for 6 years. 

“Brian is uniquely suited for the job.  He has tremendous insight on the interaction of people and systems, combined with a strong commitment to guide and direct the organization as it continues its journey to preeminence. He is approachable and unselfish which are both very important in figuring out how to make this large organization work better through listening and coaching,” said Florida Hospital president Lars Houmann. 

In addition, Eddie Soler is named Chief Financial Officer of Florida Hospital.  Soler has served Florida Hospital as Chief Information Officer for 3 years.  Soler previously served as the Chief Financial Officer, for Adventist Health System, Midwest Region. 

“Eddie Soler is a proven Adventist Health System financial officer.  He has spent many years at Florida Hospital in the areas of performance improvement and finance and is trusted by his colleagues.  I have great confidence in Eddie’s qualifications and personal commitment to Florida Hospital,” said Houmann.

And, Andy Crowder is being named Chief Information Officer.  Crowder has served as a Vice-President for Florida Hospital overseeing management information systems for 2 years.

“Andy is a talented individual. His technical skills are second to none in the industry. Florida Hospital has benefited by his contributions and will undoubtedly be served well into the future,” said Florida Hospital Chief Financial Officer Eddie Soler. 

On February 23, Don Jernigan was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Adventist Health System by the Adventist Health System’s Board of Directors.  Jernigan was serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Florida Hospital.  A week later, Lars Houmann was appointed by the same board to serve as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Florida Hospital, as well as the Florida Division which includes Adventist Health System’s seventeen hospitals in Florida.  Prior to the appointment, Houmann was serving as Chief Operating Officer for Florida Hospital. 

Florida Hospital admits more patients annually than any other hospital in the United States, and is the largest provider of Medicare services in the country. It is a member of Adventist Health System sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It serves as a community hospital for Greater Orlando and as a major tertiary referral hospital for Central Florida and much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
