WHAT: What do 200 families, Florida Hospital, and the Orlando Magic all have in common? On January 15, hundreds of families will take over the Orlando Magic’s practice gym to tip off the Florida Hospital Super Fit Family Challenge. But it isn’t practice time instead these Super Fit Families will officially suit up for the Super Fit Family Challenge with an action-packed pep rally complete with performances by the Orlando Magic dancers, Stuff, breaker dancers, and stilt performers.
Every New Year, thousands of Americans resolve to lose weight. Earlier this month Florida Hospital put out the call for families ready to take an active role in improving their own health to be part of the Super Fit Family Challenge. Now 200 Central Florida families are being coached by the experts at Florida Hospital, the Orlando Magic, Publix, Central Florida YMCA, and the American Heart Association for the Super Fit Family Challenge. The Super Fit Family Challenge is free community health program designed to give families the tools and resources needed to get healthy right at their fingertips. As a result of these major companies partnering together Super Fit Families will receive: Free two-month membership to the YMCA Free health screenings Free SuperSized Kids book $25 gift certificate to Publix Free admission to the SuperFit Family tip-off celebration at the private Orlando Magic basketball court SuperFit Family Challenge "Tool Kit" Access to the specially designed SuperFit Family Challenge website Discounts at athletic stores, gyms, and restaurants Some other great surprises
