Florida Hospital Centra Cares are giving away free pedometers and one-week gift certificates to the YMCA
During the holiday season, many people find it difficult to keep a healthy routine. That’s why Florida Hospital Centra Care and YMCA of Central Florida are giving away free digital pedometers and one-week gift certificates to the YMCA. As Americans look for easy, cheap, and effective ways to fight their sedentary lifestyles, many are strapping pedometers to their belts to motivate them to move more throughout the day. The YMCA and Florida Hospital Centra Care hope their gift will be a fun incentive to encourage people to stay on track into the New Year.
Thousands of pedometers and YMCA 1-week memberships will be given away (while supplies last) at all Florida Hospital Centra Care locations between December 7 and December 20. The membership certificates are accepted at any of the 16 Central Florida YMCA locations. To help you stay on track during the holidays, the YMCA offers these helpful hints:
Talk to more people and stand away from the food area. Watch the dips, avoid ‘Double Dipping’, double dips mean double the calories; and, eat plenty of veggies. Take along a healthy snack, such as a protein bar. Drink plenty of water.
