|
|
WHAT: The skyline around Florida Hospital will look very different come Tuesday. Demolition crews will begin tearing down the Loch Haven building (a Florida Hospital physician building across the street from the hospital). This is the first in a series of buildings that will be leveled to make way for the hospital’s expansion. As you may recall, Florida Hospital is expanding throughout its seven Central Florida campuses to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community. Each month, more than 4,000 people move to Central Florida creating an urgent need for additional healthcare services. Join Florida Hospital employees as they trade in their scrubs for hard hats to take part in the historical demolition. WHEN: Florida Hospital will host a demolition event Tuesday, October 5 at 11 a.m. Florida Hospital Orlando Chief Operating Officer Randy Haffner will begin the demolition by turning the key and manning the controls in a large piece of construction equipment. WHERE: On the grassy knoll in front of the Loch Haven Building at Florida Hospital Orlando (located at 601 East Rollins Street). Florida Hospital employees will be on hand to watch the building come down. Interview COO Randy Haffner about the hospital’s expansion plans. |
