|
|
WHAT: The New Year is bringing a new look to Florida Hospital Orlando. Construction is underway for Florida Hospital Orlando’s expansion project, and patients and family members visiting the hospital will notice some of the changes. Florida Hospital is making every effort to minimize the impact on guests, but is also asking people visiting the hospital to be flexible and allow for a little extra time as they may be redirected due to the construction. VISUALS:
WHY: Florida Hospital Orlando’s expansion project will include a new 15-story patient tower, a new energy center, nutritional services expansion, parking expansion on Alden Street, and a new parking garage on McRae Street. The expansion is necessitated by the growing Central Florida population, which adds more than 4,000 new residents each month. Florida Hospital, which treats more inpatients than any other hospital in the country, has seen a 35 percent increase in patient volumes over the last three years. That number is expected to continue to increase. |
