The vibrant and dramatic paintings of Mexican-born artist Luis Sottil grace dozens of galleries in the United States and Mexico.
The vibrant and dramatic paintings of Mexican-born artist Luis Sottil grace dozens of galleries in the United States and Mexico. On June 13, he began a new work of art with Christian Bruck, a 15 year-old cancer survivor who was treated at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases. Sottil worked with Christian to draw and then paint his very own heart on a canvas. Sottil will then take the painting back to his studio and complete it by adding his finishing touches. Later, the painting will be auctioned off at Florida Hospital’s Golden Gala XXVI, November 19, at Disney's Coronado Springs. Proceeds will benefit both the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute as well as the Luis Sottil Foundation.
