Florida Hospital Endocrinologist Recognized as One of “Best Doctors in America”

Samuel Crockett, M.D., has been recognized by his peers in this year’s “Best Doctors in America” list for 2007-2008.

Dr. Crockett is a board-certified endocrinologist and has practiced in the Orlando community for more than 30 years.  Currently, he is the Medical Director for the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute and the Principle Investigator for diabetes and endocrinology research.

Through his dedication to excellence in patient care, Crockett has led Florida Hospital and the Diabetes Institute to earn national recognition as one of the top 50 hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report for 2007.

“Dr. Crockett has devoted his life to helping people with diabetes and endocrine disorders,” said Barbara Joswick, administrator of the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute. “He cares about his patients and works to keep the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute on the cutting edge of diabetes and endocrine research.”

Opened in 1993, the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute has more than 40,000 patient visits a year, making it one of the busiest facilities in Florida.  The Institute offers comprehensive care, lifestyle education, and training and research.
